Springfield City Council to Raise Property Taxes

Agenda Item: 2021-384 - Levying A Property Tax

The City Council is going to be voting on a bill Tuesday, Oct 5th to raised property taxes in Springfield with an "Aggregate levy, excluding debt service, as $23,350,000.00." This ordinance will "partially fund the statutory contribution of the police and fire pension funds."


Your property Taxes may increase this year.

Agenda Item: 2021-410 - Additional Funding

There is an additional agenda item that authorizes a supplemental appropriation in the amount of $547,242.00 for payments to the police and fire pension funds, for the office of budget and management.
